What does it involve?
The induction process consists of two 1 hour private sessions taken at separate intervals. In session one you will receive a postural and movement analysis. Your goals and current fitness level will be discussed and you will be taught some exercises to start the beginnings of your programme – some homework may be given! From this initial meeting your programme will be created so when you return for session two we can go through this. This second session gets your body more familiar with your exercises and what we are aiming for. You are not expected to remember your programme but just feel familiar for when you return either in a group Studio Class or on a 1:1 basis.


Who is suitable?
Pilates is suitable for men and women of all ages and abilities.

How many sessions will I need?
This depends on a number of factors such as your current level of fitness, level of body awareness and the frequency of your visits. This is Joseph Pilates’ response to this question “You will feel better in 10 sessions, look better in 20 sessions, and have a completely new body in 30 sessions.’

Is it safe?
It is an extremely safe and gentle system, which aims to strengthen all muscle groups, particularly the weaker ones. Participants can be first time exercisers, those looking to enhance general fitness or their current fitness plan, professional sports persons who want to improve performance or those wanting to help prevent injury or rehabilitation after an accident or injury.
